Italian Premier Meets Queen of Jordan in Rome
A release from the Italian Premier’s Office stated that the encounter “highlighted the excellent bilateral cooperation between Italy and Jordan, including in the areas of education and protection of families and children, in which Queen Rania has launched numerous initiatives at a national and global level."
This reflects the strong partnership both countries have developed, especially in sectors such as schooling and safeguarding vulnerable groups—fields in which Queen Rania has been notably active both domestically and worldwide.
Meloni and Queen Rania also took the opportunity to discuss the unfolding humanitarian emergency in the Gaza Strip. They shared perspectives on the crisis, emphasizing the shared concern and the necessity of international solidarity.
Based on the official communiqué, the dialogue "allowed for an in-depth exchange on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, highlighting the important cooperation already existing between Italy and Jordan to provide assistance to the civilian population, in particular through the Food for Gaza and Sky Hope initiatives."
These efforts underscore the two nations’ commitment to supporting those affected by the conflict, especially through targeted relief programs.
