Biden, 82, was diagnosed after a routine check-up revealed a nodule on his prostate. Tests confirmed it to be an aggressive form of prostate cancer, with a Gleason score of 9, indicating a high-risk case. However, doctors noted the cancer is hormone-sensitive and potentially manageable, with treatment options currently being considered by Biden and his medical team.
Trump posted his message on Truth Social, saying, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
Former President Barack Obama also shared his thoughts on X, stating that he and Michelle were keeping the Biden family in their prayers. He praised Biden’s long-standing dedication to advancing cancer research and expressed confidence in Biden’s ability to face the diagnosis with strength and dignity.
Vice President Kamala Harris echoed similar sentiments, calling Biden “a fighter” and expressing faith in his resilience and optimistic spirit.
From the Republican side, House Speaker Mike Johnson said his family would be praying for Biden, joining many others offering their support. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his wife also sent their prayers to the Biden family during this challenging time.
This isn't Biden’s first experience with cancer. In 2023, he had a basal cell carcinoma—a typically non-lethal form of skin cancer—successfully removed from his chest. At the time, the White House physician confirmed that all cancerous tissue was eliminated and no further treatment was necessary.
