Huawei Unveils Its First Personal Computer, Marking China's OS Leap
According to a company press release, the new HarmonyOS PC boasts impressive performance, capable of opening a 1-gigabyte, 100-page PowerPoint file in just one second and running multiple applications smoothly. The operating system integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent interaction features, aiming to deliver a more intuitive and seamless user experience.
The PC comes with over 1,000 pre-installed ecosystem applications, with the company anticipating this number to exceed 2,000 by the end of the year, as per a company statement cited by the news agency.
This five-year development endeavor involved the contributions of over 10,000 engineers and 20 research institutes, resulting in more than 2,700 core patents.
In addition to the HarmonyOS PC, Huawei also unveiled the 18-inch MateBook Fold, touted as the world's largest commercial foldable-screen PC. Its ultra-slim design allows for a smooth transition between an 18-inch display and a more portable 13-inch configuration.
