San Diego Mosque Attack Prompts Strong Condemnation from California Governor

(MENAFN) Authorities and state officials have responded to a deadly shooting incident at a mosque in Southern California, with the state governor issuing a forceful statement condemning violence against religious communities.

According to reports, the attack took place at the Islamic Center of San Diego, where multiple people were killed, including two individuals identified as suspected attackers. Law enforcement said the incident also involved the deaths of a security guard, with officials noting that the suspects died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

State leadership described the incident as deeply disturbing, emphasizing that places of worship should remain safe spaces for all communities.
