County Commissioners congratulate
Strollo’s Lighthouse on 50 years in business

LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners’ Open for Business in Monmouth initiative marked a special milestone in August 2026, when County officials joined the owners of Strollo’s Lighthouse to celebrate the restaurant’s 50th anniversary.

The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners - Director Thomas A. Arnone, Deputy Director Dominick “Nick” DiRocco and Commissioners Susan M. Kiley, Ross F. Licitra and Erik Anderson - congratulated owners Jimmy Callano and Kevin Valerio on their anniversary.

“My fellow Commissioners and I are excited to recognize milestone achievements such as Strollo’s Lighthouse’s 50 years in business through our Open for Business in Monmouth initiative,” said Commissioner Director Arnone. “Strollo’s Lighthouse is a popular destination for homemade Italian ice, soft serve ice cream and more. This family business is a Monmouth County success story. Congratulations on 50 years and best wishes in all your future endeavors!”

Open for Business in Monmouth is designed to support, promote and celebrate businesses in all 53 Monmouth County municipalities. Business owners and operators, municipalities and chambers of commerce are invited to request County participation in, or coordination of, ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses, expansions, relocations, grand openings and milestone anniversaries. Businesses marking a significant anniversary are encouraged to contact openforbusiness@visitmonmouth.com to find out more.
