PARIS, FRANCE, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Scento, Europe's largest perfume decant website, says it has sold more than 1 million perfume decants in 2026 across its online and offline sales, and has released its ranking of the year's most-ordered perfumes. Louis Vuitton Imagination is the most-ordered perfume of 2026 on Scento.com, with 68 percent more decants than Creed Aventus in second place and one in every 29 decants ordered there between Jan. 1 and Oct. 11. Customers in all 27 European Union member states chose among 1,079 different perfumes on Scento.com in that period.

Scento's 10 most-ordered perfumes of 2026 are Louis Vuitton Imagination, Creed Aventus, Amouage Guidance, Xerjoff XJ 1861 Naxos, Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait, Amouage Guidance 46, Parfums de Marly Layton, Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill and Amouage Reflection Man. Seven of the 10 come from niche houses.

Imagination was Scento's most-ordered perfume in every month from December 2025 to September 2026. In 2026 it led in eight of Scento's 10 largest markets: Germany, Italy, France, Greece, Spain, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. In Germany, Scento's largest market, it sold nearly twice as many decants as the runner-up, and in France and Austria more than twice as many. Italy was the closest race, with Imagination just over 1 percent ahead of Creed Aventus. Amouage Guidance led in Romania, and Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait led narrowly in the Czech Republic.

Louis Vuitton was the most-ordered house of 2026 with 9.1 percent of all decants, ahead of Amouage with 8.7 percent, Parfums de Marly, Creed and Xerjoff. Niche houses took 65.8 percent of all decants. Unisex perfumes took 50.8 percent, men's perfumes 29.2 percent and women's perfumes 19.9 percent. Scento publishes the current ranking on its best-selling perfumes page, and its niche perfumes page lists the houses behind two in every three decants.

Demand is still climbing. Monthly decant sales to France rose 71-fold from January to September 2026 and to Spain 37-fold, the fastest growth among Scento's larger markets. Scento says it now sells a perfume decant every 10 seconds across its online and offline sales.

Customers bought several perfumes at a time. Nearly four in five orders held two or more different perfumes, the average order held 3.6 decants, and the average customer tried 4.4 different perfumes in 2026. Nearly two in three customers tried three or more. Scento has also published a guide to choosing between a decant or full bottle.

"In 2026 Europe ordered more than 1 million perfume decants from us and tried more than 1,000 different perfumes. Blind-buying is over. In 2027 we want every European to try before they buy," said Sebastian Dobrincu, founder and CEO of Scento.

Scento announced in November 2025 that it would invest €25 million over the next three years in European perfume discovery. It now counts more than 85,000 members across 27 European markets, and more than 50,000 bottles have passed its 12-point intake check at its ISO-certified facility.

The rankings and shares come from Scento.com orders placed between Jan. 1 and Oct. 11, 2026, Paris time, counting paid perfume decants and excluding cancelled and fully refunded orders, free gifts, full bottles, gift cards and accessories. Monthly leaders cover the Paris calendar months from December 2025 to September 2026, and market growth compares September 2026 with January 2026. Each perfume is credited to its house and gender category as listed in Scento's catalogue. The figures of more than 1 million perfume decants sold in 2026 and one every 10 seconds are Scento's own figures for its online and offline sales combined.
